What does Independent Commerce do?

We build websites and run the search work that makes them get found, in Google and in AI answers like ChatGPT. That is what we lead with. We also build custom software and do AI consulting and automation as secondary services. We design it, build it, and keep it running.

What areas does Independent Commerce serve?

We work remotely with businesses anywhere in Canada. We are based in Edmonton, Alberta, but because everything we do is delivered remotely, your location is never a limit. We regularly work with clients in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, and beyond.

Do you only build websites, or software and AI too?

Websites and SEO are what we lead with, and most clients come to us for both together. Our SEO program covers Google and the AI answer engines, and we call that combined program Total Search Optimization. We also build custom software and do AI consulting and automation, listed on our Other Services page, usually for clients we already know well.

What is TSO (Total Search Optimization)?

TSO combines traditional SEO with AEO and GEO, the practice of getting your business cited in AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. We scan how you appear across all of them, then fix what is holding you back. It is powered by our AnswerRank AI platform.

Do you support the work after it launches?

Yes. We stay involved after delivery through Site Care, our ongoing service covering hosting, maintenance, security, and updates across websites, software, and search, so you are never left managing the technical side.
